07.06.2009 : Nazmul made new Beximco Pharma MD
Dhaka, May 7 (bdnews24.com)—The board of directors of Beximco Pharmaceuticals appointed Nazmul Hasan new managing director on Thursday, the company said in a press statement.
Nazmul, who was discharging as chief executive of the publicly listed company, is the adviser to the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries. He held the position of the general secretary of the association from 2001 to 2008.
He has been involved with a number of national and international pharmaceuticals and health organisations since 1987.
Nazmul was also a director of popular sports outfit, Abahani Limited. He has been elected MP from Kishoreganj-1, the seat his father, president Zillur Rahman, vacated on being elected the head of state.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals, the only Bangladeshi company to get listed on the Alternative Investment Market of London Stock Exchange, is a concern of Bangladesh's biggest business conglomerate Beximco Group.
