Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd and its sister concern Nuvista Pharmaceuticals today deposited Taka 3.60 crore to Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Fund for the welfare of workers.

Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Nuvista Pharmaceuticals Ltd chief of human resources department MA Arshad Bhuiyan handed over the cheques to State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian at the secretariat today, said a press release.

The fund promises to help the workers and their family in case of any major disaster. It also assists in providing necessary treatment to workers.

Labour and Employment Secretary Md Ehsan-e-Elahi, Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation DG Dr Molla Jalal Uddin and Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd`s Executive Director Md Mahbubul Haque, among others, were present.
