BEXIMCO PHARMA organised a scientific seminar titled ‘current scenario on COVID-19’ with the personal physician to prime minister A.B.M. Abdullah as the guest of honor on Tuesday.

Chaired by Bangladesh Society of Medicine’s president Md. Billal Alam, the program was started with the welcome address by additional DG, DGHS, & secretary-general of Bangladesh Society of Medicine Ahmedul Kabir, according to a press release.

A presentation was given by head of Universal Medical College Research Center Ridwanur Rahman while Beximco Pharma director marketing Rizvi Ul Kabir gave a vote of thanks.

Beximco pharma has launched Emorivir - a branded generic version of Molnupiravir, the world’s first oral antiviral to treat mild to moderate cases of COVID-19.

During the panel discussion, speakers suggested that Molnupiravir can be a ‘game changer’ in COVID-19 treatment as it reduces hospitilization and death by 50% in patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.
