Beximco starts selling Gensulin insulin in local market

Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited on Sunday stated selling European insulin Gensulin and automated ergonomic insulin injecting device GensuPen2 for the first time in the local market. The medicine was introduced at an event in the capital, according to a press release of the company. The event was attended by medical professionals, including BIHS General Hospital medicine department head Hajera Mahab and Diabetes Association of Bangladesh president AK Azad Khan while the discussion session was moderated by Dhaka Medical College endocrinology associate professor Indrajit Prasad. Two foreign physicians Leszek Czupryniak, head of department of diabetology and internal medicine of Warsaw Medical University in Poland, and Melanie Basio Duran, diabetologist of the New Beato-Caulin Hospital at Tunasan in Japan, also spoke on the occasion. The panel of experts included BIRDEM hospital endocrinology doctor Faruque Pathan, Chittagong Medical College endocrinology department head Abdus Saleque Mollah and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University endocrinology department chairman Farid Uddin were among the panel discussants.
