Ethiopian State Minister for Trade and Industry Teka Gebreyesus Entehabu and his delegations were very impressed to see Beximco’s vertical large scale of Textiles operations.

They visited Beximco Industrial Park on Monday, a press statement said.

Beximco also held discussions with the delegation on establishing a textile and apparel industry.

Teka Gebreyesus said that Ethiopia would be proud to build an Industrial Park similar to Beximco Industrial Park and would welcome and support Beximco to invest in Ethiopia as well as providing sophisticated technology, know-how and global market access to Ethiopia.

Syed Naved Husain had visited Ethiopia in 2016 along with PVH to see the feasibility of investing in Africa and also visited the freshly impressive PVH Hawassa Industrial Park. He at that time also had meetings with Arkebe Oqubay who is also Minister and Special Advisor to Ethiopian Prime Minister. It has decided that Beximco top management would again visit and consider the feasibility of investment as Ethiopia has now progressed substantially.
